Wii Women by Lara Hall
With a New Year's resolution to start cooking along with a New Year's gift to myself of a Nintendo Wii, the timing was perfect for me to host a Wine, Weiners, and Wii Tennis Tournament in support of working women. I invited friends, neighbors, soccer teammates, co-workers, and even an ex-boyfriend to my apartment for a night of competition and camaraderie. Every guest gladly made a donation to the Women For Hire Foundation—and it wasn’t just because we sugared them up with a homemade tennis ball ice cream cake. The winner of the night? A Wii rookie with a wicked backhand and willingness to generous spirit to support women in need.
Burgers & Bowling with Sherry Beilinson
We got together for a girl's night of burgers and bowling. While our scores weren't much to write home about, the money and awareness generated for the Women For Hire Foundation was enough to make all of us very proud. We're doing our part to help "strike out" unemployment!
