Allison Pillinger: "A Woman Looking to Start Her Career"
During my senior year at Harvard, the uncertainty of my future career, let alone what I wanted that to be, weighed heavily on me. Participating in the Women For Hire Career Expo was an eye-opening experience that helped in landing my career in finance. The event gave me a unique look into a variety of industries, and unlike company-specific on-campus presentations, the Women For Hire event was an unbiased experience. I was able to meet representatives from various firms, and share thoughts with other women of similar goals.
Further, Tory Johnson's opening remarks were inspirational for me as a woman searching for her first job. I unconditionally recommend the Women For Hire Career Expo to any woman looking to start her career after college - whether she's narrowed her search to an industry, or currently undecided and open-minded. Tory's event continues to help me two years later.
