The highlight by far: our trip to Normandy to visit the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach, a breathtaking place that every American should see.
We shopped, saw the sites, and even got scammed, which I’ll save for another day.
Many of you emailed to tell me to stop working. But the truth is, I’d rather cut back than cut off. Not being connected and in touch is more stressful than reducing my work and doing what’s needed from a distance.
A perfect trip in every way. (I’ll post photos on Facebook today.) Now I’m so ready for fall.
If you haven’t had a moment to recharge this summer, figure out how to steal a few days now. You don’t have to go far or plan anything fancy, but the down time will pay off in spades. I promise.
