About

I am the owner of Adrienne Dillard Career Coaching, Inc. (ADCC). I have been a not for profit career coach for over a decade, but recently transitioned to a paid career coach. I started ADCC, after spending many years as a student going from major to major, trying to find the perfect major, without having much success. As an adult, my search naturally segued into searching for the perfect job. It wasn’t until I became more aware of my values, skills and interests that I was able to find that perfect job- career coaching. In order to help others avoid the pitfalls I experienced during my years of searching, I created ADCC. ADCC provides coaching for anyone age 15 and older who wants to ensure the right fit between self and career. I have successfully coached people currently employed as administrative coordinators, scientists, entrepreneurs, musicians, customer service reps and social workers.

In addition to career coaching, I also provide coaching services to college students who are looking for the perfect major that will lead to the perfect career.

I volunteer as Lead Career Advisor at My Hire Harvest (an employment ministry of Harvest Christian Fellowship). In addition, I mentor students in the I Could Be program and am also a presenter for the CHOICES career development program for youth. I am a member of the National Career Development Association, Maryland Career Development Association, the National Resume Writers Association and Women for Hire. I am certified to administer the Strong Interest Inventory®, which is a career interest assessment tool used by many colleges in the United States.

I am passionate about ensuring the right fit between employee and organization. A great portion of your life is filled with you working. I believe you should be working at something you love to do and in an environment that fulfills and nurtures you. My workshops are not boring PowerPoint presentations. As a matter of fact I don’t use PowerPoint at all, because my job is to get to know you and work with you to find the right fit. My workshops are interactive and fun. My 1:1 coaching sessions are comprised of various activities, which make you, really think about what you like to do not only at work, but also in life.

The ideal client for my practice is any person who wants to work at a job he/she loves or any student who wants to find the perfect major that leads to a job he/she loves. Are you still working in a thankless, unfulfilling job? There are still organizations with jobs available that fit you and your needs, even in this slow economy. Let me help you find them. If you are a high school student, I can start you on your way by helping you find the “perfect” college major. College is extremely expensive. Avoid spending more money than you need to by choosing the right major at the start.
