Laura Hill is founder and managing partner of Careers in Motion LLC, a career coaching firm based in New York City. She helps clients optimize their careers through personal assessment, strategic planning, and effective job search, including assistance with resumes, interviewing skills and negotiations. Her clients include C-suite executives, MBAs from top business schools, Wall Street professionals, career changers, and young people starting their careers. Her broad industry expertise includes financial services, especially capital markets and investment management; media/entertainment/internet; consumer products; and professional services.

Laura’s career experience includes executive search with Korn/Ferry International, Redwood Partners and startup MobileSpring Inc.; an eight year banking career with JPM Chase; and heading client services for boutique outplacement firm Crenshaw Associates.

Her work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Globe and Mail, JobsInTheMoney.com, and SmartMoney.com. She speaks frequently to business groups on a wide range of career management topics.

Laura received an MBA in Finance from the Stern School at New York University and a BBA in Marketing from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. Laura is a Certified Career Coach with The Five O’Clock Club, an outplacement and career coaching organization.
