Mattress Discounters pioneered the concept of the “sleep shop” when it opened the door of its first Sleep Center in 1978. From that one Sleep Center has grown the success of today – we have over 475 employees working in our more than 140 Sleep Centers, home delivery operations and our Support Centers. Our specialized Sleep Centers continue to provide customers an alternative to department stores and furniture stores. Because selling a good night’s sleep is all we do, our Sleep Counselors are experts at helping each customer find his or her perfect mattress set.

Positions Available:

Retail Sleep Counselors

We are looking for enthusiastic, self-motivated people who enjoy interacting with the public, with some background in the customer service industry preferable. We offer a paid, state-of-the-art 5-week paid training program with a high graduation rate in our brand new training facility located in Foxboro, MA, which will prepare you for a career in sales, store management and more. If you have great interpersonal and customer service skills, can develop a warm rapport and establish trust with customers, these opportunities are perfect for you!

We are looking for Sleep Counselors (Sales Professionals) for our Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island sleep centers.

Our average Sales Counselor earned $60,000 in commissions last year!

No prior bedding sales experience required. In fact, we WELCOME people who have experience outside of our industry! With our 5-week paid training program, we’ll teach you to be successful!
Our training program has a high graduation rate, with the majority of our trainees continuing on to have rewarding and satisfying careers.

We offer comprehensive paid training, paid vacations, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401K, life insurance, membership in the NASA Federal Credit Union and an Employee Assistance Program; as well as advancement potential.

- Must be at least 18 years of age and able to work full-time (includes nights/weekends).
- Must be able to travel to multiple Mattress Discounters sleep center locations to cover for shifts (as necessary) and have reliable transportation.
- Requires strong leadership skills, team spirit, a great attitude and superior customer service skills.
- Retail sales experience preferred, but not required.
