Job Title: Assistant Store Manager (Job code :S032)

The Talbots Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Store Manager, General Manager or Associate Manager and assumes all responsibilities for store operations and is responsible for sales volume, outstanding customer service and visual presentation, maximizing profits by controlling expenses and protecting company assets.

Candidates for this position must have a minimum of 1-3 years of management experience. Qualifications include excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities, as well as excellent organizational and time management skills. Additional candidate qualifications include an outgoing, motivated approach with assertive, independent decision-making skills. Ability to travel may be required and ability to relocate is desirable.

Job Title: Store Sales Associate (job code: H170)

The Talbots Sales Associate is responsible for providing outstanding service to all customers while meeting all customer service standards of selling. The Talbots Sales Associate is expected to achieve individual goals and is responsible for the maintenance of merchandise on the selling floor, as well as housekeeping duties.

Candidates for this position must have six months of sales experience and demonstrate high levels of customer service and selling skills. This position is full-time or part-time and requires flexible availability for scheduling.

Job Title: Merchandise Distributor/Allocation Analyst

This position is responsible for developing distribution strategies and allocating individual merchandise receipts to stores at the Style, Color and size level consistent with store level needs, sales performance and in coordination with the merchandise plans. Identifies and rectifies stock imbalances in stores. Works with the Planner - New Stores on opening assortments for New Stores.

Required is a bachelor’s degree plus one year of retail management experience or marketing research experience as well as demonstrated analytical skills, PC proficiency and spreadsheet skills.
