To keep your business growing, you need to nourish the roots.
What has become of our lives? In America, we have become mere zombies in a factory, punching the clock, mismanaging our time and our employees, losing the vitality and creativity that keeps business evolving and expanding. We have left behind our family obligations, stopped taking care of ourselves, and in many cases, forgotten how to live. People literally work themselves to death to stay ahead of the competition, provide for their families and keep from being laid off.

We are stressed out beyond belief. In order for our business to grow, as well as remain stable, we need to take care of ourselves and our staff at the very core. Dr. Kathleen Hall, national stress expert, inspires you and your employees to do just that – lead a healthier life and manage stress. Your employees are your business after all, and without them your business wouldn’t survive. Give them a day with Dr. Hall and help your business bloom.

Give your employees some sunshine.
Dr. Hall is not just a speaker. She’s been there – stressed out, overbooked, overworked and overwhelmed. And that’s why she is so impassioned to help others. Her life is what makes her such a down-to-earth, authentic person. She energizes her audience and inspires them. Take a look at the included DVD to see for yourself. She breaks everything down to a simple level through her interesting courses. And in the process, she touches her audience’s lives and leaves them with something that no company picnic can do – a sense of peace.

About

Dr. Niama L. J. Williams believes that dreams deserved to be lived, and thus has committed herself and her company to liberating those who dream of a different life each day but cannot seem to actively step into that life. After 17+ years as a part-time professor of literature and composition, Dr. Ni experienced homelessness and that revolutionized her self-concept and commitment to others. Now Dr. Ni knows for sure that those who serve the indigent and the indigent themselves are some of the hardest working and most stressed people in our society. Her company, Blowing Up Barriers Enterprises, seeks to alleviate that stress by educating companies, non-profits, and social services agencies—employees and clients—about the acquisition of spiritual grit such that one is unafraid to reach for a life that one has imagined but feared to claim.

Dr. Niama L. Williams is the author of ten books, co-author of three. Each title describes her survival of trauma and celebrates those who have assisted her as she’s walked her path.

Dr. Ni also facilitates two workshop series, “Affirming the Fully Imagined Life” and “It’s Okay To Want: Eroticism and the Survival of Sexual Trauma.” Review her credentials, publications and workshop descriptions at her website: http://www.drniamawilliams.com ; listen to her audiobooks at iAmplify.com; or read the latest of her personal story on her blog at http://www.drniamawilliams.com/category/blog.

Nineteen years of public speaking that began with little lunchtime gatherings in the university library at which I worked as a library assistant. The University Librarian attended and my department chair approved the room; my old high school speech and debate coach took a day off from School Board presidenting to hear my nascent prose and poetry.

I learned to welcome the silence following my words; my insecurity washed away by those who walked up afterwards, telling me that they had not clapped because they were still mulling over the startling things I had said.

People who grew up hating poetry love my lines; people who thought they were not supposed to engage with ideas find themselves discussing my metaphors and symbolism. I am the academic poet who reaches Willie Bobo on the street.

I bring to the speakers platform the understanding Sheniqua has of the world, and all that is arrayed against her. Yes, I have Ph.D. in hand, but I have used whatever resources at my disposal to GET that Ph.D.; thus I can touch the women who waste their afternoons in DPA offices across the country and around the world. I know how they are treated and I know how they chafe at that treatment.

I am also a poet and academic in love with the word. Humble and easily smitten, I wrap my arms around T. S. Eliot and Toni Cade Bambara with equivalent glee; I joke about Eliot’s relentlessly paralyzed super-intellectual as easily as I recognize the boy men begging for money from their women in the grocery store that Bambara describes in THE SALT EATERS.

My mission one to share that joy in the word, to reveal the freedom within expressing your own brilliance, the liberation available via pen, paper, and a quiet afternoon.

My speaking engagements go back to 1989, and thus I will not list them here. Ms. Maleka Fruean (malekakay@yahoo.com), formerly of Big Blue Marble Bookstore and Mr. Dan Gasiewski (dang@firstpersonarts.org) of First Person Arts can attest to the versatility, wit and agile mind at work when I stand in front of an audience.

Mr. Gregory Frost (gf@gregoryfrost.com), prize-winning science fiction author, can discuss my instructive abilities and the many ways in which I can entice comments from the most resistant and terrified undergraduate audiences. Mr. Aaron Lazar can attest to the fairness and agility of my many Amazon book reviews.

How to Start and Operate Your Own Home-Based Business
Entrepreneurship – What it Takes and What it Gives

About

For over two decades, my business, Home Office Management Experts, has been dedicated to helping the home-based business owner. I started my business in 1987 as a Professional Organizer for small businesses, but I soon discovered that most of my customers were working out of their home. Files, supplies, equipment, etc. were scattered across the room; closets and filing cabinets overflowed with papers and reports. Organizing the physical space was one thing, but organizing how they operate their business was quite another.

This niche in the marketplace was created when I began consulting with those who wanted to operate a home-based business but had no idea on how to get started. Many people know how to make a product or provide a service, but they don’t know how to create a business. A client’s profile is typically the person who needs guidance in selecting a business that is right for them and giving it a name that is appealing and original; this person also needs to learn how to register the business name, get permits and licenses, understand banking and basic accounting principles, write a business plan, identify the marketplace, network effectively and fashion a professional image for their home-based business. Balancing their life between business and family is a most popular topic of discussion and customers find that it is often the hardest to apply.

In addition to private consultations, I teach an Online Course on “How to Start and Operate a Home-Based Business” that is offered nationwide and in Canada; I also teach in Southern California Colleges Adult Extension Programs, in the field of Entrepreneurship.

My recently produced DVD on “How to Start and Operate a Home-Based Business” is a thorough, step-by-step practical guide that covers all the aspects of setting up a home-based business of your own.

The idea of working from home appeals to everyone. They dream that this will guarantee them working less, making more money and being stress free! And I am here to set them straight! Yes, you can be your own boss! You can do the work you want to do, when you want to do it, wearing those cute little bunny slippers! But, to be really successful, it also takes a lot of motivation and discipline.

What comes across, clearly, when I start to speak, is that you CAN take control of your life, you CAN have the freedom to make your own decisions and you CAN make a living doing the work you love to do. The key is to first understand your self – What makes you happy? What do you want to do? What do you know innately? (Don’t you just love those people who take 2 screws and make a lamp that actually works!!!)

I ask this all important question: If you had a magic wand, what would you design for yourself? Make that dream big and make it successful. Then, take the steps that will take you there. Want to be a great caterer? Learn the business – intern, volunteer or work part-time for a caterer. What are the FDA regulations on cooking in your home kitchen for public consumption? Test your recipes on willing family and friends and ask them to rate the tastiest and the tasteless.

My presentations are fun and realistic; the audience will be educated and entertained; they will leave with the desire to quit their mundane job and become an Entrepreneur!

They will hear my confession: Over 50 million people are doing it…and, much to my mother’s chagrin, I was adamant about “if everybody else is doing it, then so am I!”

My presentations are motivational and educational and they inspire solutions for Peak Performance in individuals and organizations. I am multi-faceted and offer a diverse view to my audiences, as I impart my knowledge and experience. My career experience spans the corporate boardrooms of Time, Inc. and General Motors to the small independently owned business.

My personal development work has taken me from being an overworked corporate executive to being the author of a self-help book on how to change your life. I inspire and motivate my audiences because I openly share stories about my life and career. My genuine and authentic message touches lives in a profound way.

Each of us has our own journey and the way a person learns and grows is unique. We all ask the questions, “Why am I here?” “What is my purpose?” “What is my life all about?” It’s a journey. I didn’t find directions for “my journey” in one book or one seminar or in one tape or CD. There is no “magic pill”. I gained insight by reading one book, which led to another book, which led to a seminar, then to a CD, all joining to create a huge jigsaw puzzle. As each piece of the puzzle fits into place, you soon begin to see a bigger picture. My life purpose is to Inspire, Motivate and Empower people to achieve their Unlimited Potential.

I recently spoke at a local Chamber of Commerce “Women Leaders in Business” luncheon. My topic was “Your Marketing Tree Matrix – Does it need Pruned or Nurtured”. The members found the presentation so valuable that 25% requested my follow up assistance. My presentations are very interactive and easy to understand. Attendees leave with a valuable tool that helps them with their life and business.
