Spark & Hustle Internship
Spark & Hustle, a series of three-day conferences for aspiring and current women entrepreneurs, has an immediate opening for a paid marketing intern in our Upper West Side office. (Two of our most recent hires began as marketing interns and now work here fulltime). Sorry, but interns for this role must be in our New York office.
This is a hands-on, hit-the-ground running internship – perfect for someone who seeks a challenging and rewarding marketing and event planning opportunity and is hungry to learn. The successful candidate will work exclusively on our coast-to-coast slate of Spark & Hustle conferences. This may include all expenses paid travel to some of the events between February and July. Comfort and familiarity with Office Suite, Photoshop and Dreamweaver are important, but social media savvy is a must since it plays heavily in promoting Spark & Hustle — designed for current and aspiring small business owners. Our promotional efforts are not limited to the web, however, and making phone calls is essential, which means you have to love chatting on the phone.
The ideal candidate enjoys hustling, juggling the expected and unexpected, and thriving among organized chaos in our small open office. Minimum of four days per week. If you’re ambitious, if you like to make things happen, we’d like to meet you. You’ll learn a ton working with us, so an on-the-job fast-paced education is guaranteed.
If you are interested, do a quick Google search to learn what Spark & Hustle is all about. Check out www.sparkandhustle.com. Then email your resume along with a letter explaining how and why you’re an ideal fit based on our needs to info@sparkandhustle.com. Include your start date availability. You can also find us and talk to us on social media too to convey your interest.

Hello,
I was interested in applying for the Internship in New York, but wanted to make sure that those who live outside of New York can apply? I currently live in Nashville, Tn, but If I was accepted I would be very interested in relocating to New York.
hope to hear feedback soon,
Thank you

I’d LOVE to work for/with your enterprise!! Everytime that I’ve seen you on tv, you’ve been full of wonderful, down-to-earth and valuable info, which is always delivered with such great enthusiam and personality.
I studied Renn.History in Florence, worked as a ‘girl-friday’ for a graphics firm, became ‘Art Dir.’for trade magazines and publishers. This led into organizing publicity events, etc. Eventually, I did ‘fashion illustration’ and graphics, free-lance and was ‘Art Dir.’ for a N.J.Dept. store’s ads and did work for political partirs & local organizations.
I, then, began working for a gourmet store, which led to preparing many food-stuffs as well as managing various stores (& Cheese Depts.), which led to The NY Restaurant School and experience in many restaurants & stores. Unhappily, I suffered a prolonged illness, from which I emerged without the endurance to work, standing, with the strength demanded.
The recent past, I was a fund-raiser for Covenant House and a Membership Assoc. at The Greater New York Chamber Of Commerce where I handled most of the contacts for information about the breadth of this area’s offerings, as well as getting new members, keeping currant member data, & helping with the chamber’s many events, ‘in house’& ‘off-premices’.
I need to increase my knowledge of various computer programs, having a basic knowledge of computers. I truelly enjoy working n the phone, cold calls and all, and thrive in a chaotic environment.
I need help to direct myself in the most positive direction (for success & Employment!)and I’ll be MOST grateful for any & all assistance.
Thanking you in advance,
Heidi Fry Edelman
