Women Win Bias Suit Against Pharmaceutical Giant
A federal jury has ordered Novartis Pharmaceuticals to pay $3.36 million to 12 former female sales reps for discrimination in pay and compensation. Novartis, named a top 100 company by an annual Working Mother survey, showed a pattern of discrimination from 2002 to 2007, the jury found. The company said it would appeal but one of the plaintiff’s call it a “huge victory for all working women.”
