Store Managers

Store Managers are true leaders with track records in customer service and business leadership. Extensive experience in producing results, managing and developing people, managing financials, and succeeding in a retail environment are critical to success in this position. Store managers lead a team of Assistant Store Managers, Department Supervisors, and over 150 associates. They work a flexible, 55+ hour workweek that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Assistant Store Managers

Assistant Store Managers possess strong leadership skills, business acumen and have experience managing people, inventory, sales and profit. Like Store Managers, they work a flexible, 55+ hour workweek that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.

Merchandising

Merchandising Assistant Store Managers are responsible for leading a high volume, multi-million dollar business within a The Home Depot store. Specifically, they manage a team of department supervisors and associates in order to excel in customer service, merchandising, inventory and financials for their assigned departments.

Specialty Sales

Specialty Assistant Store Managers are responsible for leading a team of department supervisors, Specialists, Kitchen Designers, Lead Generators, Expeditors and associates in order to support the specialty and installation business in areas of the store that require consultative selling and support skills. They are responsible for leading a high volume, multi-million dollar business within a The Home Depot store. Specifically, they develop and lead a sales culture to drive and support this important, growing part of our business.

Operations

Assistant Store Managers in operations are responsible for leading and managing a team of department supervisors and associates involved with activities in the front and back ends of our stores, which include check-out areas, returns, special services, computer room, and receiving.

Night Operations (select stores only)

Assistant Store Managers for night operations are responsible for managing the receiving, unloading, distribution and stocking of merchandise in the store. They provide direction to an overnight ream to ensure the store is “grand opening ready” each morning.

Asset Protection Managers

The position of the Asset Protection Managers (APMs) exists in select stores; They are responsible for executing key initiatives relating to theft, fraud, operational accountability, safety and environmental compliance in a specific Home Depot store location. Like other managers, they work a flexible, 55+ hour workweek that includes nights, weekends and holidays.
