Elisa Strauss’ brainchild, Confetti Cakes, is the culmination of a life-long artistic pursuit and the fulfillment of a dream. Elisa’s artistic inclinations led her to study art at Vassar College and the Art Institute of Chicago. But after Vassar she expanded her medium from oil paints and textiles to cake design and construction, which led her to get a degree in pastry and baking arts from the Institute of Culinary Education and ultimately to founding her successful Manhattan cake company.
