Positions Available:
Entry Level Engineer
Description:
Our entry level position provides support for electrical construction operations. During the first few years at Mass. Electric you might expect to spend time in positions involving field engineering, cost engineering, estimating and engineering support. Duties may include, but are not limited to: tracking of installed quantities, forecasting future quantities, takeoffs and estimating assignments, creation of as-built drawings using AutoCAD and material submittals.
Requirements:
-Undergraduate or graduate degree in Construction Management, Construction or Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or related engineering fields
-Musy have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
-Must be willing to travel and relocate several times throughout the career
-Candidate must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship by MEC, both now and in the future

Superintendent
Description:
Superintendents will be expected to:
-Supervise construction projects. Perform daily inspections of work performed. Act as liaison and coordinator between contractors. Solve problems that arise.
-Monitor and adhere to established budgetary guidelines for job, and ensure that cost control measures are being followed.
-Monitor job safety, and provide job safety training and awareness for all personnel.
-Monitor quality standards of all jobs, and ensure that all quality assurance and company standards are being met.
-Monitor job schedule and coordinate work with contractors and deliveries with suppliers and ensure inspections are scheduled appropriately. Must be able to develop entire job schedules, 90 day schedules and three week schedules, man loading.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Must have at least 5 years experience as general foreman or superintendent.
a. Management of union labor a plus.
b. Direct and supervise crews.
2. Must have a broad understanding of technical electrical systems, including but not limited to:
a. Underground layout and installation.
b. Instrumentation installation.
c. Above ground systems layout and installation including but not limited to:
-Conduit installations within hazardous locations.
-Cable tray systems.
-Cable pulling in conduit and tray.
-Must have experience in managing 20-50 craft employees at one time.
4. Must be prepared to attend meetings with customers and owners/general contractors.
5. Must have a positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills.
6. Must be able to adapt to new surroundings and with new people.
7. Must be able to work with a team and provide input.
8. Working knowledge of computers and experience with the use of Microsoft Excel and Word.
9. Must be able to travel or relocate.
