Ilene Marcus, Chief of Staff – Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty
ilene Marcus is chief of staff at Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty in New York City
Ilene has more than 16 years of experience in social service programs and policy development. She served for six years in Mayor W. Giuliani’s administration as a special assistant and executive deputy commissioner at the NYC Human Resources Administration. She has also served as public programs officer at DoubleClick, director of public affairs and city policy at UJA-Federation of New York. She is a trustee of the Center for Governmental Research in Rochester. Ilene holds two masters degrees from Columbia University where she’s on the adjunct faculty at the School of Social Work, where she teaches program evaluation and financial management.
