A Wave of Women Entrepreneurs on Tap?
The ranks of successful women entrepreneurs is about to increase, experts say. Attitudes about women in business are slowly changing and the only thing standing in their way is their own fears, says Carol Realini, CEO of Obopay. “The challenge of being a woman CEO is, one, you’ve got to get in the game. So, you have to be willing to try. And it’s intimidating, especially if you’ve never done it before.”

I am pleased that non-for-profit organizations like Women Entrepreneurs of America (WEA) exist to help women entrepreneurs support each other and empower women to network, find the resources they need, and help other women find courage to start a business. I also believe strong networking opportunities, like ‘Spark and Hustle’, are bringing these successful women together and building a momentum that makes the growth discussed in this piece inevitable. The more forums that exist where we see and hear about women like us becoming successful as entrepreneurs, the more we all get the courage to press forward and perpetuate the cycle of success.
