Returning to Work After Years at Home Brings Many Challenges
Former at-home parents who return to work these days ‘land like real-life Rip Van Winkles in a strange new world of technology, team dynamics, office fashion, and water cooler talk at the office,” Sue Shellenbarger writes. I am so frustrated with trying to find a job/career since I have chosen to be a stay at home mom. Being a stay at home mom has taught me more than most of what my friends have learned in college. There isn’t a task that cannot be completed not to mention while multitasking. Why can’t employers recognize that. We are very valuable people and if we have given our family everything we have, wouldn’t that prove we would do the same for a company. We are worth more then minimum wage.
